i think that there's a redeaming quality to all genres of music, but for the most part i like the dead slow rock n' roll, stuff like mark lanegan, songs ohia, ray lamontgne, and the great lake swimmers. on occasion i listen to things like regina spektor, joanna newsom, gogol bordello, gwar, but for those i have to be in the mood.
