I try to keep an open mind to music, but my favorites tend to be the really layered stuff with alot going on (sufjan stevens, sigur ros, animal collective), but I also like to rock out with some simpler stuff, too. I guess I'm more of an alternative kind of guy, but I'm always open to new stuff. Lately I'm really getting into old Bowie, belle and sebastian (whose new cd kicks ASS), and a couple others I'm forgetting right now. Oh, and by alternative, I don't mean panic at the disco, fall-out boy, plain white t's, hawthorne heights, or whatever other shitty pop punk shit mtv is trying to push as "underground" this week. Not to say I hate anyone who's on mtv, they do play some good stuff every now and again, but the majority, well, it blows. I think everyone knows that by now. To be honest with you, I don't like alot of the screaming bands. I like a few like mars volta, their forefather at the drive-in, but not sparta, and a few others. Not many, though. I guess I have a soft spot for weirder music, too. Anything that has something different to it, ya know? But yeah, im always looking for something new if anyone knows of something out there. I also enjoy several cartoons.
