MP3: The Flying Burrito Brothers - "Long Black Limousine"

Venerable West Coast music mecca Amoeba Records is getting into the label biz. Following their inaugural release on August 28th from singer-songwriter Brandi Shearer, the fledgling label will release a two-disc live set from Gram Parsons and the Flying Burrito Brothers.

Recorded in San Francisco on April 4, 5, and 6 of 1969, the band mixed country standards with Burrito favorites as they opened for the Grateful Dead at the Avalon Ballroom. The tapes were recently unearthed and Amoeba presents the April 4th and 6th performances on Gram Parsons Archives Vol. 1: The Flying Burrito Brothers "Live" at the Avalon 1969—due October 30th.
