NY Times Reviews Siren Music Festival

Siren Music Festival Unlike today, the weather was perfect for the final pre-Disney era Coney Island Siren Music Festival in Brooklyn this past Saturday. That didn't stop the New York Times from calling this year's edition "skippable" and saying that "the lineup felt full of second and third choices."
And then there was Voxtrot, a lovable indie-pop band from Austin, Tex., with a strong self-titled debut album that has received a notably weak response from (former?) fans who had loved the early singles. The group’s live show underscores some of what turns people off: Ramesh Srivastava, the singer and songwriter, is hyperactive to a fault, jumping around with his arm in the air as if he’s trying to turn his marvelously wimpy songs into rock ’n’ roll anthems. Oklahoma Offers Alternative to Pitchfork Music Festival

Are you ready to rock?!!! Well, Oklahoma is! Rocklahoma—a three-day hair metal extravaganza—is taking place on the same weekend as the Pitchfork Music Festival (via Idolator > via Hard Rock Hideout).
POISON, RATT (featuring original lead singer Stephen Pearcy), VINCE NEIL and Y&T are among the acts that are expected to appear at Rocklahoma, a three-day outdoor '80s hard rock festival, set to take place July 13-15, in Pryor, OK at the Pryor Festival Grounds. The following is a partial list of bands that are **rumored*** to be taking part in the event:
