Swan Lake Set To Record Second Album

Swan Lake BrooklynVegan has posted a nice little interview with Hello, Blue Roses' Dan Bejar and Sydney Vermont. While the couple's debut didn't set our headphones on fire, we're desperately looking forward to future Bejar releases in the new Destroyer album and now the next Swan Lake record. Spencer Krug previously mentioned Swan Lake had "tentative plans to record in February" and now Bejar confirms:
I also read in an interview with Spencer Krug that Swan Lake planned on recording the follow up in Feb. Is that still a possibility?

Dan: It is an extremely distinct probability.

Destroyer's Trouble in Dreams Announced + MP3

Destroyer Christmas has come early here at Discollective as our ears soak up the first new Destroyer studio track in nearly two years from the forthcoming Trouble in Dreams—due March 18th on Merge. The song we are blessed with is "Foam Hands," which we brought to you back in July by way of a live YouTube clip. Soak it up, cause it's a long three months until one of the best albums of '08 drops. Fingers crossed...

Video: Two New Destroyer Songs

Seeing Dan Bejar perform live is like spotting Bigfoot. You're either lucky or you're a liar. That's why we were surprised to see these fairly good quality videos pop up on YouTube (via Stereogum). What's more, two of the songs captured are new Bejar compositions! The Destroyer sighting occurred at Grace Presbyterian Church in Calgary on June 28th during the Sled Island Music Festival. Enough jibber jabber. We've got some Destroying to do!
