The perfect pop song in every respect.

3. Tilly and the Wall - Fell Down the Stairs

This band sounds like they are having a blast with everything they do! that said this song is a perfect reflection of what the band is about.

4. The Fiery Furnaces - Duffer St. George

This song just plain rocks. It's two minuets of pure joy.

5. The Apples In Stereo - If You Want to Wear a Hat

Apples have always been a fun band for me. This song isn't their best but this song title is one of my favorites.

6. Gnarls Barkley - Smiley Faces

i love Danger Mouse. I think he is one of the coolest performers/producers out their right now. That being said this album is amazing.

7. Belle & Sebastian - Like Dylan In The Movies

to tell the truth the only reason i really got into this song was because my name is in the title. however i soon discovered how awsome b & s actually are.

8. Nick Drake - Pink Moon

Nick Drake is the kind of person who died before his full potential was realized. that being said, he influenced millions of my favorite artists with only a handful of songs. he is amazing.

Sunset Rubdown is my favorite band. They are incredible. Spencer Krug is amazing. This song is the most oddly romantic song i have ever heard.

10. Badly Drawn Boy - Cause A Rockslide

B.D.B. thurst me into alternative music. he was the first artist i discovered to be outside the mainstream. This song is probably the most influetial song to me.

The Beatles were my first big obsession. I've loved this song since before i can remember.

14. Iron & Wine - Evening On The Ground (Lilith's Song)

To me Iron and Wine is the reincarnation of Nick Drake made even better. This song is the first modern folk song i can remember hearing that used an electric guitar to a great effect.

15. Rilo Kiley - Does He Love You?

Rilo Kiley is one of my favorite bands. If i'm ever in a mood, any mood, i can put on any one of their albums to reflect that mood.

The Replacements are the original, if you are into any kind of alternative music you must listen to the Replacements at least once.

I have only gotten into to Of Montreal in the past few months, that being said they are now in my top five bands ever! This song has one of the best titles in the world.

Slanted and Enchanted changed my life. It was the first time i had heard Pavement at the recomandation of a friend and i instatnly fell in love.

20. Stars - One More Night

Stars is the perfect pop band. This song is the perfect pop song. why can't i hear this on my radio?

21. Weezer - Only in dreams

Weezer used to be cool. Seriously, i know a lot of people don't believe me, but they used to be a seriously cool alternative band. This song, blew me away the first time i heard it because i didn't realize it was Weezer. Now i've come to embrace it as one of the best songs ever written.
