What is Discollective?
Discollective is a website aimed at spreading the gospel of "good music"a subjective term, yes. Whether it's coming from the staff, your friends, or strangers, we hope you will discover great music and support the artists through buying their records and seeing them live.

Over half of the content on Discollective comes from our members. We thank them and hope they keep up the good work.
What is my Collective?
Your Collective is the group of friends whom you have invited (and who have accepted) to be in your "inner circle"not the band that sang the theme to "Cops," but a group of members who comprise a subset of the overall community. They will be alerted when you write new reviews, create new mixtapes, and perform other updates throughout the site.
What is my Heavy Rotation?
Your Heavy Rotation is the one artist, album, and song that you've been especially into lately. It's the band you can't stop talking about, the album you keep listening to from start to finish, and the song you can't get out of your head. This provides others in your Collective, and throughout Discolletive, with a quick snapshot of what you've been listening to.
What is my Wanted List?
Got a birthday coming up? Wouldn't mind receiving a cd (or three) as a gift? Whether it is bait for gifts or attempts to find rare and unreleased albums and songs, adding albums to your wanted list is a way for friends in your Collective, and others in the community, to know what you want and help you find it.
What is my Catalog?
Your Catalog is simply the albums that you own and have as part of your personal music library.
Where'd you get that Flash music player?
We are grateful to the fine folks that have developed the
XSPF Web Music Player. Without their hard work, our site wouldn't be nearly as cool.
