Royal Trux are the best. They can take a cliche that makes you sick and force you to love it. This song is like if the The Stones were actually good in '88.

This isn't out yet, but it will be in May. Vinyl only. This is what Canadian bar rock sounds like on shrooms.

Just a great song that tugs at your heart strings. This is what College Rock meant before Hootie and Dave Matthews fucked that shit up.

Relentless beat and bassline with insane fifties-amphetamine-spaceman vocals. There has never been a band even remotely like Suicide.

This lady just doesn't get the recognition she deserves for all the wicked stuff she recorded besides that "Rollerskates" song. The orchestra rules in this song, and you can't beat it when she laughs in the middle of a line like there was a little fit of madness inside she just had to spit out.

One of the strongest vocalists ever, a wicked song, amazing Phil Spector wall-of-sound, as if you don't already know how much this rules.

Sounds like a fucking great band playing just for you and your five drunk friends in your rec-room at 2:00 in the morning. You're wasted and you start crying when he sings "don't know it's real until it's caused you pain."

Great song from the underrated second album. Something about the execution of this song is perfect. Really effective pacing. Classic sort of sixties bass and drum sounds, but you can tell this isn't from that era. Sort of makes the hair on your neck stand up.

A touchingly manly duet between a German and an Australian.

A rare ballad from these oddball heavy riffers. The guy who sings for Budgie is a five-foot-nothing bespectacled pony-tailed bass player who actually sounds like a small bird. Everyone should check out these guys' awesome record covers.
