I've been waiting on an album like this for a long time. It's a little slicker than Camera Obscura but that doesn't take away from its earnestness. The album shoots out of the gates with laid back cotton candy pop. While the tracks towards the end of the album lose a little something, it's the closest thing to good MPB I've heard in long time. I would recommend this for fans of anything Astrud Gilberto, Bacharach, and Brian Wilson. For modern listeners, think Ivy and Camera Obscura.
