I have discovered the glory of great rock n roll. The Gun Club. I found these guys on the Left of the Dial:Dispatches From the 80's Underground with their song Sex Beat. When I first heard the song I thought it was just average. But when I dug deeper into their music I found the classic Robert Johnson song, Preaching the Blues. It blew my mind the way they re-did the classic blues song. It's just raw and brutal. The Gun Club just stab you with this insane voodoo beat, it's hypnotizing. They've reached deep into the heart of American music touching Delta blues, voodoo and punk rock. The twang and reverb of the guitar grabs a hold on you, the rythmn section is captivating and Jefferey Lee Pierce's vocals just kidnapps you. The cover of Fire Of Love is even fantastic. It looks like something that would come out today. But overall this band is just a glorious, swamp induced, voodoo haven of punk rock.

" I was all dressed up like Elvis from hell!"
