Truth be told, I don't like giving 5 stars to anything. It's become more political in vibe -- quite possibly at the expense of yer heart, fiend. And I also hesitate to evoke the Beatles if I can possibly avoid it (and you can, by the way -- but it's kind of like describing water without the wet). Having said that, I believe that "Orphans" is a bloated, ungainly, invincible masterpiece every bit modestly arrogant and arrogantly Anti-Modern as the Beatles' White Album.
